I updated the Complete Package from v. 5.0.7 to v. 5.0.9 today and I THINK it changed how things are working.
Last week, I had created a new User Group that could only access posts that were included in a specific subcategory. I restricted all posts by default and then unrestricted a subcategory of "2019 Webinars" under the parent category of "Videos". I created a test account in that user group and it could only access posts that were included in the "2019 Webinars" subcategory - perfect!
After the update, this test account in the new User Group can now access everything in the "2019 Webinars" subcategory AND everything in the parent category, "Videos". I do not want this. I've deleted the User Group and started again from scratch. The AAM plug in is showing that all posts for this User Group are Restricted by default. I have checked Posts & Terms > Categories > Videos and it is showing as Restricted (default). If I go to Posts & Terms > Categories > 2019 Webinars, it is showing the Restricted box as empty (customized setting). If I check the Restricted box, it does block everything in the "Videos" parent category and the "2019 Webinars" subcategory and I can't figure out how to restrict only the "2019 Webinars" subcategory..
I'm not sure what else to do. Maybe I've done something wrong? I'm learning as I go and LOVE the flexibility that AAM offers. Any support on this would be much appreciated, Vasyl. If you would like full admin access to my site to see this for yourself, I'll be happy to email you credentials.
