Thank you for your reply. Here's what I have done:
Confirmed RESTful WordPress API is up and running.
Switched the theme to 2019
Deactivated all plugins except for AAM, Classic Editor and WPBakery.
RESULTS: no difference. Still unable to see WP bakery page editor when I try to edit a post, or any of our custom post types other than pages. I have tried assigning multiple users roles, and none of them except Super Admin has any access to WP Bakery's post editing interface except for the post type, "Pages". This includes "Administrator". And, in the "Role Manager" of WP Bakery, even at the Super Admin level, II still cannot open up the fields to see what the settings are in there. Since the default in WP Bakery is to allow it to work on the post type "Pages" only, it could be that behind that locked interface, it's restricting that plugin. But I have no way of knowing whether it's a glitch in your plugin that is restricting my access to those fields as a Super Admin. It's also interesting to note that, I have never had access to those fields, not in any previous version of WordPress and plugins, and being able to edit via the WPBakery interface has never been an issue for role's assigned to have access/editing/publishing options for assigned post types.
